Frances, owner of Chicabelle, has just been voted Scotland's best bridal make-up artist of the year by the prestigous VOWS awards!!

What a day... This is the second
consecutive GWD that I have been MUA for and I can honestly say it could
possibly have been the windiest / wettest day August has ever seen! Just a good
job the grounds of

29th May 2011, Premier Productions Models' Books with KAD photography & Martin Parker Photography.
Deborah and I had a frantically fantastic shoot with Premier at Enigma. We have seen the results from KAD Photography & Martin Parker Photography and they are amazing. We will be posting these images once Premier have released them... if you can't wait, they are on Premier Productions' Face Book Page and Martin's Parker's Web home page.

We
were so please with the turn out for our formal launch... Having ran
out of seats, glasses & fizzy... regardless of having supplied
heaps!! Thank you very much for all of the support we have recieved and
we hope to bring you all news on our events and ongoing success...

Chicabelle Visage Avant-garde Photo Shoot, 8th May 2011.
...So what a long way
we've come in three years! ... and as the founder of all Chicabelle divisions,
it gives me great pleasure to be the host of the photo shoot this time!
Involved with this shoot is: Calum Riddell Photography / The Bridal
Boutique / Premier Productions / Mary Culter House
Hotel and, of course, our very own Deborah Peterson on hair and wee me on
make-up!
We will be using the images to promote Chicabelle Visage and our new chapter
and all will be posted online too... so you'll all get to see. Keep up with the
developments on our Facebook page.

22nd December 2010 - 31st January 2011, Glam Girls Real Women Campaign
Chicabelle Make-Up Artistry is delighted to be providing our services for the Glam Girls campaign, organised by The Bridal Boutique, Peterculter. This is a large-scale campaign to find 6 real women, these winners will take part in a sensational make over with the Glam Team including us ..... and you will also have your very own photographer, hair stylist and fashion stylist for the day.
To take part you have to be over the age of 18 and between a size 10 and 16. If you want a chance to be photographed in evening dresses from the hottest new boutique in Aberdeen and get made over by us and Tracy Allan Hair. All you have to do is head to The Bridal Boutique Website and complete the Glam Girls face for fashion application form – www.thebridalboutiqueaberdeen.com

November 2010, Frances refreshes with Cheshire Make-up Academy
I would like to give a huge thanks to Kim Rampling, Director/Make-up Artist Cheshire Make-Up Academy, and Richard Harvey, Celebrity Make-up Artist, for their very intense and informative programme. I now return to Chicabelle all refreshed in Bridal & Fashion/Editorial certificates in time for the party season and our Christmas / New brides.

Despite
the
gloomy day which
lingered over the misty grounds of Pittodrie House, Chicabelle
was pleased
to speak with many brides-to-be who had tackled the weather to join us.
We were
also delighted to have been able to finalise
details with
several brides who have already booked our services since the AECC
exhibition
just a week ago. We would like to thank all of the brides who have been
in
touch recently regarding their wedding requirements, along with those
who have
taken the opportunity to book our services... some of which
are as
far in
advance as the next 20 months!
We
are very
excited about the forthcoming weddings, and are
looking
forward
to receiving further bookings from those brides still to get
in
touch with
us regarding their make-up needs. Should you like to make an
enquiry
please contact
us early in order to
avoid disappointment.
What
a
triumph!... The
weekend flew by and it was lovely to see all of the interest Chicabelle
received. Out of the 1600 registered brides in attendance over the
weekend,
we have already been able to book and confirm several dates
for
the
next two years!! The exhibition was such a success that we
have
already
booked our attendance at next year's show. Therefore, if you
are getting married after 2010, we hope to see you at next
year's
event on
15/
Finally,
Chicabelle would
like to thank all of you who took the opportunity to come and talk to
us during
the exhibition. We would also like to thank the Chicabelle
representatives who
took time to speak with visitors, despite their agony of
wearing
4"
heels all weekend... why do we never learn girls?

I
can't quite
believe how
quickly it has come around, but my very best friend since
forever finally
got married!! Not only did I have make-up and hair duties (of
course) but
I was also the Maid of Honor. After a morning
of transformation, we
were ready for the day ahead and, as you can see
here,
Chicabelle
would
like to
wish all the very best to this very special unity and wish
them a prosperous life together as man and
wife.

After
being
exceptionally
lucky with the November weather and the beautiful grounds looking
illuminated
in the frosted sunshine, Chicabelle would like to thank Macdonald
Pittodrie House Hotel for a
lovely day at their wedding exhibition.
We
would be delighted to hear back from the brides and families that we
met on the
day and look forward to seeing them again in the future. Oh, and we
just couldn't
resist a wee pickie with the piper :-)

like to say a huge thanks to Dusk
cocktail lounge and their staff
for
being so hospitable and adding a very special 'touch of pink'
champagne!!!

Here
we see a brief moment of rest at the
Chicabelle website
photo shoot. Once the helicopter had finally landed and everyone's
hairspray
was firmly set, we took advantage of the exceptionally beautiful
Scottish
September afternoon on the lawns of the
Et
Voila! ..... and here we have it, after months
of
deliberating, organising and finally committing, the Chicabelle website
is
born! With much pride and relief, I now declare the doors open.
